The Buck Doesn’t Stop At Spencer and Heidi! Tweet for Haitian Orphans

Good News – it’s what we’ve all been waiting for! The first ever Celebrity TweetAuction has commenced! Essentially, you enter bids and if you win, your favorite celebrity will give you a shout-out on their Twitter, re-tweet something you say, or follow your Twitter feed for a specified amount of time. Instant notoriety under a nice veneer of charity!

As per the ‘TwitChange’ website, All proceeds from the TwitChange celebrity auction will provide aHomeInHaiti.org the means to finish rebuilding the Miriam Center. The Miriam Center houses, educates and loves on Haitian children with cerebral palsy, severe autism, and other major life challenges and is one of the only facilities of its kind in Haiti. The current facility houses children in the earthquake’s aftermath and is extremely overcrowded. These kids need and deserve a permanent home.

Never before done – but quite a good idea – we here at MyNewPlace are always fans of a good cause! Kudos to the celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Eva Longoria, Neil Gaiman, NeYo, Olivia Wilde, MCHammer (!!!!) and Justin Bieber. Matter of fact, if you are completely insane you can even bid for a deluxe ‘Justin Bieber’ package – including a shout-out, a re-tweet, and even having him follow your twitter for a minimum of 90 days!! Parents with tween girls, be sure to hide your credit cards!!
