Apartment Rental News Weekly Roundup: New York, New York
Conan O’Brien’s 30 Million Dollar Apartment

According to late breaking sources, Mr. Connnnnnnnnnnaaaaaaaaan OOOOOOOO Brrrrrrrrriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnn has signed with FOX TV Networks to resurrect that station’s late night programming schedule. This rumor was seemingly confirmed today from a few news outlets, but the most telling sign is the fact that Mr. O’Brien’s New York city apartment was put up for sale for $35 million dollars last month.
This month, the asking price has come down to $29.5 million, so if you were to buy the apartment and rent it for a million dollars a month, you could get your money back in less than 3 years.
Playground’s Jail Incenses Neighbors

So how would you feel if you took your kids out to the neighborhood playground and your kid wound up in jail? According to the New York Times, a playground in Brooklyn has such a play jail, apparently designed to help children have a more realistic game of cops and robbers.
The outraged parents said that it was a slap in the face to the neighborhood; it was as if the playground was insinuating that children who live near Bedford-Stuyvesant should be accustomed to such a setting. A professor at City University of New York complained to the New York City Housing Authority, who attempted to alter the pretend jail’s appearance until the structure could be removed.
