NBC's Nightly News with Brian Williams ran a story this week about how newspapers around the nation are cutting jobs and scaling back their print editions as a result of the loss of revenue from advertisers, who are now finding it much more effective to advertise online because they can better target their audience and save money as a result.
MyNewPlace specializes in this; apartment management companies receive more leads that are likely to fill vacancies in their apartment rentals by reaching out to renters who use the internet for their apartment searches.
Thus, it is no surprise, that the NBC Nightly News team found it advantageous to consult one of our most seasoned and sage employees to offer his insights on the imminent death of printed newspapers. Matthew Teichmann, Business Development Guru here at MyNewPlace, offered his methods on keeping apprised of the day's news:
For some reason, the broadcast chose not to include Mr. Teichmann's full comments, which reportedly began with a circumspect analysis of the displacement of traditional printed news sources with advent of online news and ended with Mr. Teichmann's notorious ability to not “fake the funk on a nasty dunk."
In the apartment rental industry, renters prefer using an online apartment finder to search apartments for rent as opposed to browsing classified pages in newspapers because they are able to get a lot of relevant information very quickly.
Instead of poring over the apartment rental classified section of a newspaper, looking at abbreviated descriptions, a renter can enter in the apartment search criteria relevant to their needs, and quickly view a plethora of apartments that meet their basic needs and then compare the apartment listings by floorplans, pictures and much more detail than could be provided in a print ad.
We will look forward to and anticipate continued solicitations for our expert advice on matters and issues concerning the apartment rental market, apartment living and the internet, in general.
