Pima Community College's Amazingly Diverse City

In Tucson, you're only an hour away from Phoenix, and three quarters of an hour away from the Mexican border in one of the US's warmest cities. Culturally, the city is extraordinarily diverse, with only 50% Caucasian populations, and the rest a widely varied mix of other races and cultures. This multi-ethnicity is celebrated in festivals like the All Souls Procession, modelled on the Dia de los Muertos or Day of the Dead in Mexico, but combining elements from many cultures. Wherever you find the perfect student housing for you, in Tucson it's likely to be a hotbed of amazing cultural differences.

Tuscon Rentals for Pima Community College Students

Apartments in Tucson are not as plentiful as in some cities, but there is a wide variety of prices. Try The Gateway, as one of the lowest priced complexes closest to Pima Community College's main campus. Prices for apartment rentals start at around $350 per month, as in many other areas, and most housing doesn't reach much past $750 per month. Tucson - A City for All Sorts

Tucson itself is surrounded by five mountain ranges, and it is home to the US's southern most ski destination, Mount Lemmon. There are plenty of outdoor activities and exploring to do - matching Tucson's cultural diversity is the array of classes and clubs. Bike hire, racquet clubs, yoga studios, golf, fitness and bowling are all popular.

When liquid refreshment is in order, Tucson rates highly. Well over a third of the city's bars, pubs and clubs get four or five stars from local reviewers. The Shanty, with their international beer selection, is a favourite, and the rest of Tucson's top bars have equally creative names - Bison Witches Bar and Deli, The Meet Rack, The Surly Wench, and Asylum are some. A city to be enjoyed!
