St. Petersburg is a large city located on Florida’s west coast. In the 2010 census, it clocked in as having a population of 244,769 people. That number makes the city the 4th biggest in the entire state of Florida, and the biggest city in the state not to be the seat of its county. St. Petersburg is also the 2nd major city in the Tampa-St.Petersburg area, which has a total metro area of almost three million residents. Located close to the beach, St. Petersburg is a popular tourist destination and makes a significant amount of revenue from the tourism industry.
