About Pasadena, TX


Nicknamed the “Birthplace of Texas”, Pasadena is steeped in Texas history; in fact the final battle of the Texas Revolution took place in the city’s vicinity in April of 1836 and Mexican General Santa Anna was captured at nearby Vince’s Bayou. The city is also known as the “Strawberry capital”. Pasadena was founded in 1893 by John H. Burnett and is part of the Houston metropolitan area. It is the second largest city in Harris County and boasts the largest volunteer municipal fire department in the United States.
