About Ocala, FL

Ocala is a city of approximately 60,000, located in central Northern Florida. It has a long history, dating back to Native American times, where it was the site of Fort King during the Second Seminole war. Since then, it has become more and more popular as a tourist destination, thanks in part to the abundance of amusement parks in nearby Silver Springs. Today, it is home to college of Central Florida and was given an All-America City Award several years ago.
