About Gainesville, GA


Known as the “Poultry Capital of the World” because of the large amount of poultry plants in the area, Gainesville is a quiet industrial town situated in northeast Georgia. This city can be found snuggled into the foothill of the Blue Ridge Mountains near Lake Lanier, offering plenty of outdoor recreation, shopping, and beautiful holiday festivals less than 50 miles from downtown Atlanta. It is a heavily wooded area, with coniferous and deciduous trees being the most popular, and boasts one of the most diverse wildflower populations in the state.
