About Dublin, OH

Home of one of America's largest Irish festivals, Dublin is a small city and suburb of Columbus, Ohio. The earliest settlers to the American Dublin arrived in 1802, but the city did not become official until 1808, when John Sells moved his family to the area. Irishman John Shields helped to sell lots for the village, which he named after Dublin back in his home country. Because of this, the area takes pride in its Irish heritage in the form of frequent parades and festivals.
