About Groton, CT

Groton has a long history of naval prowess. Nicknamed “The Submarine Capital of the World,” this little town on the eastern seaboard is home to the Electric Boat Corporation, which supplies the United States Navy with the majority of their submarines and also responsible for their maintenance and upkeep. It was the site of the first nuclear sub’s creation, and still houses more than 33,000 artifacts from early nautical times to modern days. It has a long history as unique as it is storied.
