    Indiana University In Bloomington

IU Bloomington, the main campus in the Indiana University system, makes its home in this little-known Indiana city, adjacent to the scenic Yellowwood State Forest. A big school at roughly 43,000, IU Bloomington has the resources for outstanding programs in fields such as arts, science, law, music, business education, and journalism. It’s not all large classes and studying, though: the campus has its own massive football stadium and Sembower Baseball Field, and since the 1970s, the school's basketball team has been known as one of the best in its league. Like true Indiana patriots, students here go by the nickname “the Hoosiers,” the epithet for anyone hailing from this state.

Bloomington (true to its name, I suppose!) is a beautiful place to walk around, and there are many apartments available close to campus, tailored especially for students. You can find out a little more about what the average day-to-day experience is like for students by checking out our college life link.
