About Duluth, GA

A small suburb of Atlanta, Georgia, Duluth was ranked number 26 on Forbes list of America's Best Places to Move in 2009. The suburb shares the name of the famous Duluth, Minnesota, which is no coincidence. It was named after the city once the north-south rail lines were completed in 1871, which connected it with the city in Minnesota. Originally the area bore the name Howell's Crossing for the Howell family who lived in the area for generations.
