Managed for Bridge Housing by The John Stewart Company, Chestnut Linden Court Apartments and Townhomes is an affordable 151-unit community. It is entirely new construction. One reason we are able to offer these 151 apartments at affordable rents is because Chestnut Linden Court Apartments is funded in part by a federally-regulated government program called the Low Income Housing Tax Credit Program (LIHTC). Due to this program as well as others, management must screen all applicants carefully. All potential residents must qualify based on projected annual income (including all assets), household size, credit history, and rental history. The LIHTC program also has restrictions for full time students and requires us to determine a student’s eligibility. This program also requires management to re-verify income/assets eligibility on an annual basis, and full-time student eligibility at least once annually.
