About Las Cruces, NM
Las Cruces is the 2nd biggest city in New Mexico with a 2010 population of 101,047. The city is often referred to as the “City of the Crosses” and it is considered to be part of the El Paso metro area. Las Cruces has several federal government facilities and is also the home of New Mexico State University. The city’s landscape is surrounded by the Organ Mountains, the Dona Ana Mountains, and an agricultural region in the Mesilla Valley.
