Todd Katler, SVP of Sales and Client Services
Todd is responsible for providing strategic leadership to the sales and client services teams. In this role he oversees the client facing interactions for MyNewPlace’s suite of products. Todd has 16 years of experience in the multifamily industry. Previously, Todd served as the senior vice president of sales and marketing for BRE Properties, Inc., a real estate investment trust with approximately 26,000 units across the western US. He was responsible for financial success and operations for sales, marketing, corporate communications, and for implementing many cross-departmental initiatives. Prior to BRE Properties, Todd served as vice president, business development, at Level One, LLC, a provider of outsourced leasing agents. In that role he contributed to a nearly three times increase in revenue and the industry adoption of enhanced marketing metrics. Prior to Level One, Todd was the director of sales at Rent.com (an eBay company), where he managed the relationships between Rent.com and owners of more than 23,000 properties in every major U.S. apartment market. Todd has also served on the Board of Directors for both the National Apartment Association and California Apartment Association.
Mark Moran, SVP of Marketing & Business Development
Mark is responsible for MyNewPlace’s product and consumer marketing, and for ramping traffic and revenues via relationships with world-class Web sites and advertisers. Previously, Mark was VP Business Development at Riya, Inc. where he built over 400 merchant and partner relationships for the company’s Like.com shopping portal. While at Tribal Fusion, he was general manager of its two performance marketing divisions and responsible for an 8-digit P&L. Previous startup experience include President & COO of Pivia, Inc. (purchased by Swan Labs, then by F5) and VP Corporate Development at Owners.com. Prior to Tribal Fusion, Mark led the eBusiness Group at Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, where his scope of responsibilities ranged from strategic planning, business development, site production, and vendor management. Mark holds a BA from Pomona College and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Steven Pollock, SVP of Products
Steve is responsible for product strategy, product management, product development and technology at MyNewPlace. Steve has a track record of successfully building organizations, conceiving and launching products, acquiring and integrating companies, managing product portfolios, and managing competitive strategies in many consumer and business markets. Steve has led product management and product marketing for several companies, including as VP Marketing for Edify Corporation (a publicly held enterprise software company), and as VP Worldwide Product Marketing for Claris Corporation (Apple’s software subsidiary). Steve is a serial entrepreneur, having co-founded multiple venture-backed companies, and as an inventor has multiple patents. Steve also has product management experience from Apple Computer and Microsoft. Steve holds a BS from San Jose State University and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Stephen Ripley, VP of Engineering
Stephen is responsible for technology strategy and leadership for the MyNewPlace family of websites and applications. Stephen brings over 16 years of experience in the software industry with 12 years focusing on software development for the real estate and multifamily housing space. Stephen thrives in the start-up environment, with a proven record of working closely with product teams and clients to rapidly build and launch robust and innovative software solutions. Prior to MyNewPlace, Stephen held positions at Wells Fargo Bank as Technology Lead, as well as Engineering Manager at Move.com (previously Homestore), where he led the technical integration strategy of Homestore and Move.com. Stephen holds a Culinary Arts degree from the San Francisco Culinary Academy and a BS in Economics from The University of San Francisco. When he’s not coding, he’s cooking.
